  • Guests are given the option to have their towels and linens cleaned

  • Left over shower and sink soap is collected and given to the National Park, local schools, Homeless Shelter and Rehab Center to be used rather than thrown away
  • When toilet paper rolls are too small to use for guests, they are saved for the same organizations

  • Employees are asked to follow the hotel’s environmental commitment and to adhere to the green policy
  • Wildlife Sanctuary located near Blue Banyan Inn managed by Kids Saving The Rainforest (KSTR)
  • Guests can adopt trees to help offset their carbon usage during their trip, which KSTR will plant in the jungle
  • The restaurant uses reusable tableware to reduce the amount of disposables

Blue Banyan Inn is passionate about protecting our global and local resources. We focus on minimizing the environmental impact on our business—from purchasing our food to composting our waste. We purchase much of our produce and products locally.

We work with environmental organizations. The Blue Banyan Inn works with environmental groups, researching ways to become environmentally advanced and working to preserve our global resources. We also adhere to the four "R's": Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and buy Recycled.
